Day 1 — Arrival & First Encounters with the Wild

Morning

• Travel from Nairobi (by flight to Amboseli airstrip or by road/train + transfer) to Tawi Lodge.

• Check in, relax, unpack, and enjoy the lodge property and views of Mount Kilimanjaro.

• Lunch at the lodge.

Afternoon

• Head out on your first game drive in Tawi Conservancy / Amboseli. Access to both areas gives variety. 

• Return to the lodge for a rest or swim by the waterhole — the lodge pool overlooks a natural waterpoint where wildlife may pass by. Evening

• Sundowner: drive or walk to a scenic spot in the conservancy at dusk, with drinks and snacks, watching the sunset with Kilimanjaro in the background

• Dinner at the lodge.

• If available and allowed, a night game drive in the conservancy to spot nocturnal species.

Day 2 — Deep Safari, Walks & Culture

Early Morning

• Very early game drive / sunrise safari into Amboseli National Park (or deeper into the conservancy) to catch predators and wildlife when they’re most active.

• Optional: hot air balloon safari (if offered) over Amboseli — fantastic aerial views of elephants, plains, and Mt. Kilimanjaro. 

Midday / Lunch

• Return to the lodge for brunch or lunch.

• Relax time: spa, reading, resting, or photography from your veranda.

Afternoon

• Take a guided bush walk / nature walk within the conservancy, led by Maasai guides who explain tracking, flora, animal signs.

• Visit a Maasai village to learn about local life, culture, dances, and traditions

Evening

• Another sundowner — a different vantage point, perhaps deeper in the conservancy.

• A bush dinner — dining under the stars at a remote spot. (Arrange with lodge)

• Return to lodge for overnight rest.

Day 3 — Final Safari & Departure

Early Morning

• One more morning game drive, heading into areas you might not yet have visited.

• Optionally, another balloon safari if time and availability.

• Return to the lodge for brunch.

Midday / Lunch

• Pack / Check out (depending on your flight or transport schedule).

• If time allows, a gentle camel ride through the conservancy or a last short nature walk. 

Departure

• Transfer to Amboseli airstrip / onward destination (back to Nairobi or next leg).
