Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu (Drive or Flight)

Depart Nairobi in the morning by safari land cruiser, tour van, or scheduled flight to Samburu National Reserve. Arrive at Sarova Shaba Lodge in time for lunch and a refreshing welcome. In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive across the rugged reserve, where you may spot elephants, lions, and Samburu’s “Special Five.” Return to the lodge for dinner and an evening under the stars by the campfire. Overnight at Sarova Shaba Lodge.

Day 2: Full Day in Samburu

Start with an early morning game drive, when predators are most active. Enjoy breakfast back at the lodge before spending the late morning at leisure – take a dip in the pool, relax by the river, or enjoy a guided nature walk (optional). After lunch, venture out for another thrilling game drive, with opportunities to spot leopards lounging on rocky outcrops or elephants by the riverbanks. Return to the lodge for dinner and an evening cultural performance by local Samburu dancers.

Day 3: Samburu – Nairobi

Rise early for a sunrise game drive and capture your final moments with Samburu’s wildlife. After breakfast, check out and transfer back to Nairobi by road or flight, arriving in the afternoon.
