Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kigali – Volcanoes National Park

Arrive at Kigali International Airport where you’ll be warmly welcomed by your safari guide. After a short Kigali city tour including the Genocide Memorial and local craft markets, drive through Rwanda’s rolling green hills to Volcanoes National Park. Arrive at your luxury lodge nestled in the foothills of the Virungas. Evening at leisure with a fine dining experience.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Adventure

Wake up early for a hearty breakfast before heading to the park headquarters for a briefing. Begin your trek into the misty rainforest in search of a mountain gorilla family. Once located, spend a magical hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat. Return to the lodge for lunch, followed by relaxation, a spa treatment, or optional cultural visits to nearby Iby’Iwacu cultural village. Evening dinner with views of the volcanoes.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Trek & Twin Lakes Excursion

After breakfast, enjoy a guided trek to see the rare golden monkeys, another endangered primate species. Later, take a scenic drive to Lake Burera and Lake Ruhondo — Rwanda’s stunning twin lakes — where you can enjoy a boat ride or a lakeside picnic. Return to the lodge in the evening for a farewell dinner.

Day 4: Return to Kigali & Departure

After breakfast, drive back to Kigali. Depending on your flight schedule, visit the local markets for crafts or enjoy a city tour. Transfer to Kigali International Airport for your onward journey.
